Wildcat Communications is a boutique PR firm specializing in the automotive aftermarket. Leslie Allen, proprietor, formed Wildcat Communications in 2010. Prior, she was the PR Manager for The Marx Group, now MBE Group, and PR Director for Martin & Company Advertising for over 10 years.
As an independent contractor, Leslie provides great value to advertising agencies and companies seeking someone knowledgeable about working with traditional media and who is adept at using PR tools to ensure clients receive positive, brand-building news coverage.
With over 30 years of experience in Public Relations, Leslie has built long-lasting media relationships and understands the need for “telling your story” in your own way. She first began her career at Buntin Advertising in Nashville, TN. Later worked for top firms in Nashville and Memphis before starting her career in the automotive aftermarket at Burroughs & Associates, one of the few agencies at the time that catered solely to the high-performance automotive aftermarket.
When former Burroughs & Associates VP Zan Martin formed Martin & Company Advertising, Leslie joined Zan’s agency, where she handled PR and copywriting for major performance brands, including Rancho, Kelderman, Durakon, MAHLE Motorsport, Amp Research, ACC, Cherry Bomb, Gearz, E3 Spark Plugs, and more. During this time, Martin & Company won dozens of ad awards for campaigns for Bridgestone, MAHLE Motorsport, Durakon and Auto Custom Carpets.
In 2008, Leslie switched to handling PR for the traditional aftermarket, i.e. AAPEX associated companies, where she worked with Tom Marx and a talented team of professionals at The Marx Group prior to the formation of MBE Group, to provide PR for many well known companies (VIPAR, Weld Racing, Enerpulse, TI Auto, Fras-le, Schaefler and others before starting Wildcat Communications in 2010 and remaining on as the PR Manager, as an independent contractor through 2016; returning back to the performance industry to work for Martin & Company and a new team.
In March 2025, Zan Martin retired and closed her respected agency. Leslie is now providing PR for prior M&C clients in addition to Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials, a business group of Orbia, GRS Chemicals, Hot Shot’s Secret, Acute Behavioral Health, and multiple non-profits and local restaurants.
